With three wins from their opening three league matches so far in 2020/21, Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side will be looking to end Exeter's unbeaten start to the campaign.

The Devon outfit have two wins and a draw to their name, while Saints have scored 16 goals and conceded just twice, setting up an enthralling counter on Sunday.

Last time out, a second successive Ella Pusey hat-trick, a brace from Georgie Freeland and a Kirsty Whitton strike confirmed a comfortable 6-0 win over local rivals Southampton Women's.

The result leaves Southampton top of the table on goal difference, with Chesham United occupying second place.

LAST MEETING

Saints only met Exeter once last season before the COVID-19 pandemic, running out 6-0 victors in Devon in February.

Shannon Albuery's hat-trick put the visitors on course for all three points, before Pusey, Rachel Panting and Shannon Sievwright made the scoreline emphatic.

The result left Southampton top of the table and unbeaten in the league.

MANAGER'S NOTES

We will miss our supporters being with us on the day, but will be aware of their remote support.

MARIEANNE SPACEY-CALE

Ahead of Sunday's showdown, Marieanne Spacey-Cale admits her side will be up against a different Exeter side to the one they faced last season.

"The squad have had a good week training in preparation for the game against Exeter City. We are aware of the great start to the season they have made and, like us, are unbeaten.

"They have strengthened their squad over the close season and this shows in their results so far.

"We will be hoping to continue our good start to the season on Sunday, and are looking forward to a strong challenging fixture against opponents who are flying.

"We will miss our supporters being with us on the day, but will be aware of their remote support and will use this as an energy for the game ahead."
