Sofiane Boufal has today completed a move to French side Angers, Southampton Football Club can confirm.
The 27-year-old Moroccan has made the switch to the Ligue 1 team on a free transfer, with Saints retaining a sell-on fee clause.
Angers, who finished 11th in the top-flight last season, have made another solid start this time around, winning three of their opening six matches.
Boufal, whose contract at St Mary’s was due to expire next summer, moved to Saints in 2016 and leaves having made 84 appearances, scoring five goals.
The club would like to wish Sofiane well for the future, as well as thanking him for his efforts during his time here.
