WHICH KIT WILL SAINTS BE WEARING?
Saints will be playing in their new home kit for the first competitive clash at St Mary’s in the 2020/21 season.
HOW TO WATCH
Fans will be able to watch via the Carabao Cup streaming link here. A match pass costs £10 and is available to UK-based supporters only.
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
For Saints, after the opening day defeat at Crystal Palace, the Carabao Cup gives Ralph Hasenhüttl and his squad the chance to get up and running.
The Austrian has said how he will be taking the competition seriously and will use it as an extra chance to get his squad up to speed for the season ahead.
Brentford started their Championship season with a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham and so for the Bees it’s about getting back to the form that they enjoyed last season on their run to the Championship Playoff Final.
Also, it’s a chance for the London club to compare itself to a Premier League side after that narrow loss to Fulham at Wembley.
TEAM NEWS
Stuart Armstrong will likely miss out with the quad injury that ruled him out of the opening day trip to Selhurst Park, with Hasenhüttl potentially tempted to give game time to those who didn't start in South London.
Summer signing Mohammed Salisu has continued his pre-season training in a bid to get up to speed after his arrival from Real Valladolid, and could feature as part of the matchday squad.
THE MANAGERS
Ralph Hasenhüttl: “It will be a tough test.
“They are a good team. We have played them in friendlies a few times and they had a good season but had a disappointing finish. It’s a good test for us.”

ONES TO WATCH
Danny Ings: After the slow start to the season for Saints at Crystal Palace, the striker will be looking to get his campaign up and running on Wednesday night.
The striker's brace at Portsmouth in the third round last season acted as the catalyst for his Premier League form, and Ings will once again be looking for the Carabao Cup to launch his season into action.
Bryan Mbeumo: The Bees' success last season was helped by the dubbed ‘BMW’ attack of Saïd Benrahma, Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins.
However, with Brentford already losing Watkins to Aston Villa, and with Benrahma linked with a move away, the London side will be hoping that the Frenchman continues the form that saw him net 16 goals last season.
