Southampton will host Brentford in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with the third round draw also made.
Ralph Hasenhüttl's side will face the Championship outfit in the final regionalised round of the competition, with the winner travelling to either West Brom or Harrogate Town in Round Three.
Having the draws conducted together will enable clubs and broadcasters to plan with additional clarity and certainty over a busy period of fixtures whilst supporters are unable to attend fixtures.
