By SFC Media time Wed 06 May esports

The group stage of the Stay At Home Cup concludes on Thursday night, with Saints in contention to progress.

The eight-team tournament is uniting a selection of Europe’s top clubs and their respective official FIFA esports players, with Saints up against Ajax, PSV and Werder Bremen in Group B.

Saints’ official esports player, Owen ‘SaintsVenny’ Venn started his cup campaign last week, with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Werder Bremen following on from defeats to Ajax and PSV.

With PSV leading Group B with nine points, only goal difference separates the three teams looking to secure second spot and advance to the last four.

Supporters can watch each Southampton match live via the club's Twitch, YouTube or Facebook channel.

In what is an unprecedented and difficult time, the tournament will not only spread a message of global solidarity, but also provide the chance for each club to fundraise for their chosen cause at the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For Southampton, fundraising will be directed towards the Saints Foundation, Which has embedded itself further within the local community by offering new and existing initiatives, some of which come as a result of the recently launched Saints As One campaign.
