Saints Foundation Statement

By Saints Foundation Media time Mon 16 Mar Saints Foundation Only

Further to the recent outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and following Government advice, Saints Foundation has decided that all non-school based delivery will be suspended from tomorrow (Tuesday 17th March) for an initial period of two weeks.

This suspension affects our activity with children and young people outside of a school setting, as well as all of our work with adults, including our seniors’ programmes. We will review this at least once a week, as a minimum, after the initial two-week suspension period. Despite sessions being based at school sites, our Kicks programme is included in the suspension as it operates outside of traditional school hours.

Where possible, participants will be contacted individually by one of our team, who will also strive to check in regularly with them during the period of suspension and provide whatever support that we are able to.

This decision has been made as a precautionary measure based on advice received and to bring us in line with the recommendations put forward by the UK Government this week. Importantly, the decision that we have reached reluctantly is not reactive to any known exposure or incident at Saints Foundation sessions.

We regret to announce this news. It is not a decision that we have made lightly as we recognise how important the interaction we have with our participants is. However, the safety and wellbeing of all of our participants and staff has to remain our utmost priority.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time.
