Reusable cups introduced at St Mary's

By SFC Media time Fri 06 Mar Club

This season, Southampton Football Club introduced reusable pint cups in its St Mary's concourses and the Fanzone in a bid to reduce single-use plastics, which could save more than 36,000 going to landfill each season.

Fans can find recycle bins for these cups located around the stadium, so when you’ve finished with yours, please place it inside so they can be collected after each match, washed thoroughly and recirculated.

It’s important these cups are placed in the correct bins, as we won’t be able to reuse any that are discarded in normal waste containers, and, for this, we are reliant on you, our supporters.

Saints recently also welcomed One Water as its Official Bottled Water Partner to aid the club’s sustainability drive and allow it to support the fight against water poverty

One Water now supply all bottled water to the club, which will see single-use plastic still water bottles at St Mary’s being replaced by 100 per cent recyclable One Water RPET bottles, made from 100 per cent recycled plastic, resulting in a reduction of more than 50,000 single-use plastic bottles per season.
