WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Saints returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa and are ever closer to the magical 40 point mark.

West Ham come into the game after a dramatic loss to league leaders Liverpool. With the Hammers currently in the relegation zone, one point away from safety, every game is crucial as they look avoid the drop.

It’s their home form that’ll need to be improved with three wins in 13 but they come up against a Saints side that have the fifth best away record in the league.

TEAM NEWS

Saints will be boosted by the return to fitness of Tottenham loanee Kyle Walker-Peters, who has enjoyed a week’s training after missing last weekend’s win over Aston Villa.

However, Ralph Hasenhüttl will still be unable to call upon Nathan Redmond due to a muscle injury picked up at Staplewood last week, which is likely to rule the winger out for the next month.

For West Ham, January signing Tomáš Souček faces three weeks out with a hip injury, whilst Ryan Fredericks has had shoulder surgery to see him ruled out for six weeks.

THE MANAGERS

Ralph Hasenhüttl: “We lost the first one this season against them, and lost both last season, so we haven't been really successful against this team. The last game is gone and now we are focusing on this difficult challenge and we want to go there with the best possible performance."

David Moyes: “Every game is the biggest game of the season as you're required to win every one. We've got eleven games to go and every one is going to be big. I think the players have done a good job in recent matches in different ways, but we need to show better quality when we've got the ball and got opportunities."

ONES TO WATCH

Stuart Armstrong: The midfielder has started the year brightly with three goals in his last five appearances including two away from home in wins against Leicester City and Crystal Palace. The winger could play a key role at the London Stadium as Saints deal without the injured Nathan Redmond.

Robert Snodgrass: This man was involved in all three goals the last time West Ham played at home in their 3-3 draw against Brighton. The international team-mate of Stuart Armstrong assisted and scored twice in that game and his form could be crucial for the season run in.
