Southampton FC Women return to league action, making the National League trip to Exeter City on Sunday (4pm GMT).
It’s Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side’s first league game in over a month, having beaten Chesham 8-2 at Snows Stadium last time out in the competition.
The return comes after three successive weeks of cup action, responding to defeat at St Mary’s in the FA Cup with win over Moneyfields and Portsmouth in the Hampshire Cup and WNL Cup respectively.
Last time out a double from Ella Pusey saw aside Pompey 2-0 in the south coast derby, booking Saints a place in the WNL semi-finals.
Sunday’s visit to Exeter is the rearranged fixture from earlier in the season, with the 8th of December’s original fixture postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
This weekend’s fixture takes place at Exeter City’s Cat and Fiddle training ground, commencing an important double game week in the National League for Saints.
After playing fourth placed Exeter, Saints will make the short trip to face Southampton Women’s on Wednesday; the only side to take points off of Saints this season.
