By SFC Media time Mon 10 Feb Loan Watch

Southampton loanee Mohamed Elyounoussi featured for the first time since October as Celtic progressed to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup. This and more in our latest Loan Watch, in association with Kuflink…

The midfielder played 85 minutes as Neil Lennon’s side comfortably saw aside Clyde with a 3-0 away victory, setting up an away tie with St Johnstone in the next round.

Fellow Saints loanee Fraser Forster was rested for Sunday’s cup tie, but added a further clean sheet during the 4-0 win at Motherwell on Wednesday.

It was also a successful weekend for academy defender Christoph Klarer, who scored for Austrian side SKN St Pölten in the league cup as his side drew 3-3 with Wacker.

His goal put St Pölten 2-1 ahead in the 90th minute, only for Wacker to equalise deep into stoppage time to take the tie into extra-time.

Klarer’s side eventually lost out 6-8 on penalties, following another last gasp leveller from the visitors in the 120th minute.

Back in England, youngster Kayne Ramsay made his debut for Shrewsbury Town during their 1-1 draw with MK Dons.

The defender played 55 minutes on his first outing at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

In the same division, Tom O’Connor played the full 90 minutes and hit the bar as Gillingham made it ten League One games unbeaten with a 0-0 draw at Burton Albion.

Fellow Gills loanee Alfie Jones missed the trip as a result of a calf injury.

Academy goalkeeper Kingsley Latham also enjoyed a fruitful week, gaining a clean sheet for Southern League side Gosport Borough at home to second placed Truro City during their 1-0 win.

Elsewhere in Europe, Mario Lemina played another 180 minutes for Galatasary; losing out 2-0 to Alanyaspor in their Turkish Cup quarter-final first leg, before beating Kasimpasa 3-0 away from home in their return to Super Liga action.

There was cup success for Royal Antwerp and Wesley Hoedt this week, who booked their place in the Belgium Cup final following a 1-0 second leg win at Kortrijk.

Hoedt played 66 minutes as his side went through 2-1 on aggregate, setting up a final against Club Brugge at the end of March.

Elsewhere, defender Maya Yoshida was an unused substitute for Sampdoria as they came out 3-1 winners at Torina, with former Saint Gastón Ramírez scoring twice for the side.

Finally, Under-23s midfielder Callum Slattery will be in contention to face PSV tonight with Dutch side De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie.
