Saints Under-23s return to Premier League 2 action tonight, as Wolves make the trip to Staplewood (7pm GMT).
Dave Horseman’s side return to league action off the back of a compressive victory in the Hampshire Senior Cup, seeing aside AFC Totton 4-1 at Snows Stadium.
Goals from Enzo Robise, Callum Slattery, Will Ferry and Dan N’Lundulu secured a comfortable evening for Saints, who will be hoping to replicate such form in PL2.
It’s Saints’ first PL2 outing since the defeat to an experienced Liverpool side at the start of January.
Monday night’s game will see Horseman field a slightly different side to recent weeks, with many familiar faces making moves during the January window.
Slattery, Kayne Ramsay and Kingsley Latham all headed out on loan, whilst Harry Hamblin departed on a permanent move to Macclesfield.
Saints will be boosted, though, by the signing of Jacob Maddox on loan from Chelsea; an attacking midfielder who brings bags of experience following a successful spell in the Blues academy.
Wolves similarly have seen a change in personnel towards the end of the January window; Dion Sanderson, Benny Ashley-Seal and Ryan Giles all completing loan moves on deadline day.
Monday’s visitors have added to their ranks too, signing midfielder Enzo Loiodice from French side Dijon on loan.
Wolves’ last game was also against Liverpool; drawing 2-2 at home on Wednesday in the Premier League International Cup.
The two sides are level on points going into tonight’s fixture, meaning a win for either side could see them close the gap on 10th placed Tottenham to four points.
