Loan Watch: Jones continues unbeaten run

Southampton loanee Alfie Jones played the full 90 minutes of Gillingham's 2-2 draw with Rochdale, which extended their unbeaten League 1 run to nine games.

Steve Evans side continue to be difficult for sides to beat, as Rochdale found to their misfortune when the Gills visited Spotland Stadium on Saturday.

Jones played the duration whilst the fellow Saints loanne playing his football in Kent this season, Tom O’Connor, missed the trip with a hamstring injury picked up during the week.

Fellow Saints loanee plying his trade at Celtic, Mohamed Elyounoussi, remained out with a foot injury.

In Spain, Guido Carrillo came on as a 78th minute sub as La Liga strugglers Leganés earned a valuable point at fifth placed Atlético Madrid.

Finally, Christoph Klarer continued his impressive start to his loan spell with SKN St.Pölten with a cleansheet in a 0-0 draw in a pre-season friendly with FK Sotchi.
