Ralph Hasenhüttl is urging his Southampton players to learn lessons from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Wolves at St Mary’s.
Saints led 2-0 at half time, but the visitors came back strongly to score three times in the second period and take maximum points from the Premier League clash.
Next up for Hasenhüttl’s men is a trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday, where the boss is keen to see a reaction from his team.
“For us, it’s important we look forward,” he said.
“With what happened today, we must be very critical with ourselves, but there are sometimes moments like this in football, and you have to learn.
“On Tuesday we have the next difficult game, against Palace, and we must do a better job. I know that we can do it.
“The players are not happy at the moment, and we must stand up again and have a look at what is the starting XI on Tuesday.”
