Our search for young goalkeepers with an aspiration to be a future Saints number one is still open to applicants for another two weeks.

Saints academy will be holding its goalkeeping sessions in February for boys in the under 7 and under 8 age groups only, and there is still time to apply.

The session will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 20th February 2020, looking ahead to the 2020/2021 season.

To apply, all applicants must meet certain criteria;

  • Born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013 - Under 7’s age group for Season 2019/20 (School year 2)
  • Born between 1st September 2011 and 31st August 2012 - Under 8’s age group for Season 2019/20 (School year 3)
  • Live within 1 hour travel distance of our Staplewood Training Ground
  • Has an active interest in playing in goal

The session will be run by Southampton FC Academy goalkeeping coaches and recruitment staff and will provide an opportunity for young goalkeepers to showcase their talents, with the possibility of being invited to train at Saints' Pre-Academy/Development group.

The afternoon's proceedings will last approximately 1 hour during which the boys will experience a variety of fun activities undertaken by our academy goalkeepers. The time and venue of the session will be confirmed via e-mail when you have been accepted onto the session.

Please note that places are limited.
