Striker Danny Ings is ‘proud’ of the way Southampton have turned their form around after moving six games unbeaten thanks to a 2-1 win at high-flying Leicester on Saturday.
Ings, who’s been integral to the recent run of results, added to Stuart Armstrong’s first-half equaliser to complete the turnaround at King Power Stadium.
Earning redemption after the heavy defeat in the reverse fixture back in October, Ings hailed Saints’ spirit.
“How we’ve been over Christmas and since then has been massive for us as a club and long may it continue.
“It speaks for itself the work we do out on the pitch,” he said. “We did everything we could to turn things around and we’ve done even better than that.
“I’m so proud of us as a team and how far we’ve come. It’s all about week-to-week and Monday to Friday putting the work in and having fun at the weekend.
“You can see we’ve got smiles on our faces and even in the last few minutes when we’re working hard and winning tackles.
“We’re getting back to enjoying football and that’s what we do.”
