Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed that Sofiane Boufal remains a doubt for this weekend's trip to Newcastle with his toe injury.
The Moroccan's injury meant he was unable to be involved in Wednesday night's win against Norwich, the manager confirming he is yet to train since picking up the knock.
“I must tell you that there is still a problem with him, he’s still not training. In the last game he was on the bench and there was no reason to bring him in. I decided to let him out and give him the rest.
Tomorrow he will train for the first time and we must look and see how he is. We must pay attention to it because such an injury can take longer if you are not careful.”
Hasenhüttl also noted that some players were experiencing fatigue as a result of the quick turn around and the intensity of training in recent weeks, but assures that all are ready and able to play on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Stuart Armstrong is still out following the hamstring injury picked up at Arsenal, but Hasenhüttl confirmed that a return for the home fixture with West Ham is a possibility.
