Saints Women are in action in the FA Cup second round proper this weekend, as they return to Yeovil for a successive week.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side will be hoping to go one better than they did at this stage of the tournament last season.
Saints lost out to WPL Premier Division side MK Dons in the second-round last year, whilst Sunday’s hosts Yeovil fell to defeat in the fourth-round at home to Birmingham City.
A repeat of last Sunday’s meeting with the Glovers will also be welcomed by Saints, who came out 2-1 winners thanks to last minute Sophia Pharoah goal.
"We took a few moments in the game to get used to the pace and the physicality," admitted Spacey-Cale. "Once we settled I was really pleased with how we adapted and how the players grew into the game.
"To go to extra-time and still be strong in the second period, I was pleased with their fitness, pleased with their commitment and what they've learnt over the last twelve months about managing games.
"We always want to progress. So the next stage is to get into the third round and meet a difference challenge and a different team from there."
