Euro 2020 qualifiers for Armstrong and Bednarek

By SFC Media time Sat 16 Nov International

Southampton have two players in international action on Saturday, although their respective countries already have their Euro 2020 fate sealed.

Stuart Armstrong will be part of the Scotland side to line up against Cyprus in Nicosia (2pm GMT), although their patchy form means Steve Clarke’s side will be in March’s play-offs regardless.

Currently sitting in fourth – one point behind their opponents – Armstrong will look to help Scotland build on their 6-0 demolition of San Marino last time out.

Elsewhere in Europe, Jan Bednarek will head to Israel with his Poland teammates knowing qualification is already ensured.

Their 2-0 win over Macedonia last month booked their place in next summer’s finals, with Jerzy Brzęczek’s side now heading to face Israel, who have one win in their last five.

Virtually an ever-present, Bednarek and Poland will get underway at 7.45pm GMT.
