All that was said by Ralph Hasenhüttl as Southampton get set to host Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

On building on Man City performances...

"We spoke about the last two games against a very strong side. We tried our way to get something there and finally it wasn’t enough.

"It gives us a feeling that when we work together and are defensively organised and very disciplined, some teams score against us as we have shown, but on Saturday we need more qualities for winning."

On togetherness...

"It’s been an intensive week and I think it puts us more together as a club and a team and that’s important for us.

"At this time of the season, it can help us to focus on the games and we have to deliver results and this is the most important goal we have in the next weeks."

On team news...

"So far, so good. Moussa (Djenepo) is back and Cédric is back and they can train with the team as normal.

"We have all the players on board and I have all the options. Ryan Bertrand is still suspended and the rest are still fit."

On the importance of Saturday's match...

"Every game is very important because we are under the line and this is not a coincidence because we didn’t take enough points.

"We have played against the first eight clubs so far and now come the fixtures against the bottom teams and we live on our results."

On the key to winning...

"First we must turn our start in home games because in all the games at home, we were in the back so far this season and this is something that doesn’t help your game and the crowd is then waiting for a positive start.

"It’s not only about the start, but finding the way to attack and that’s what we have worked on. Defend the same as the last two games against a strong side and we can defend deep.

"Sometimes we can press higher but we must be very committed and our principles follow."

On the home support...

"We don’t have to ask too much. We have to deliver and when we deliver we can be sure they will help us, but first it’s about us to show up and show a reaction at home and we do everything to win this game."

On producing at both ends of the pitch...

"I think we see it very clearly what we have to do: to defend better and on the other way. We're hoping that with a few coming back from injuries like Moussa (Djenepo) we get more quality in front and a combination of both gives us a chance of better results."

On Everton...

"They also know it’s an important game and in the moment in this situation, it's a six point game.

So for us it's important we win, but if they don’t lose then they stay away from us so for sure it's an important game."

On the upcoming international break...

"I am not focused on the break at this moment, I have only one focus and this is Saturday at 3pm."
