Southampton’s youngsters return to Leasing.com trophy action as they make the trip to Coventry City on Tuesday night.
Saints will be looking for their first three points in Group L of the competition, after falling to narrow defeats away at both Walsall and Forest Green Rovers.
Their last outing at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium was a tight affair, the hosts’ netting their eventual winner in the 45th minute through Dan Scarr.
Coventry have similarly had a stuttering start to their time in the competition, failing to score or concede in either game so far against the same opponents.
Their two 0-0 draws have meant both games have gone to penalties; the Sky Blues winning through spot-kicks at Walsall but coming off second best at Forest Green.
Coventry head into the Trophy meeting four games unbeaten in League One, sitting in the last of the play-off spots in the division.
For Saints' youngsters, they languish towards the bottom of Premier League 2, adjusting to life in the higher division after promotion last season.
