Despite making good progress in recent weeks, winger Moussa Djenepo will be forced miss out on Friday night's Premier League action, as Saints prepare to host Leicester City at St Mary's.

The Malian has been absent since hitting the winner against Sheffield United in September, but has resumed pitched-based training, and is making positive strides towards a full return, the manager confirmed.

Full-back Cédric also continues to nurse a calf problem, meaning he'll miss tomorrow's Foxes encounter.

"Still the same," the manager responded when asked about injury news. "We cannot count on Moussa or Cédric at the moment.

"Moussa is back on the pitch. For a game it is too early, but we see light at the end of the tunnel.

"I hope that in one or two weeks time we can count on him in again. We don't want to take any risks with him because the injury is complicated."
