The key points from Ralph Hasenhüttl's Thursday press conference as Southampton prepare to head to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

On making the most of the international break...

"The good thing was we had a lot of players here and not so many international players in these two weeks, and it gives me the chance to work with them on a few weaknesses in our game that we have seen in our last two games.

"I think against the big teams, they show immediately what lack of quality you have in some situations of your game and I think the biggest one we had, or biggest issue we had, was after losing the ball the transition to defence was not quick enough and committed enough, and that’s the reason we conceded goals more than normal.

"We’ve been working in these two weeks on our defensive stability and work against the ball as well – which is absolutely important – and we will need this at the weekend."

On team news...

"The internationals are all back fit so we're just without Moussa (Djenepo) and Cédric. Moussa has made developments and his recovery is okay, but he’s still not 100%.

“He’s on the pitch and can do a lot of things, but not everything. We are trying to rise the intensity of the sessions, but it will take time.

“He (Cédric) maybe a little bit quicker, but his calf injury takes time to heal and at the moment it’s not as quick as we thought.

“Also for him, it’s not most important that he’s back as quick as possible but the most important thing is for it not to happen again.”

On what to expect from Wolves...

"I think it’s a very good organised team, a team that has the biggest quality in counter attacks; they showed it against Manchester City. They have a good organised defence, you get less time and less space to create chances against this team.

"They like to have space for counter attacks and they're not really a team that likes to be in possession, but it will be an interesting game, I think, because both teams like to have a good offensive transition and we have to pay attention if you lose the ball and if you have possession because that’s the most dangerous moment against this team."

On the importance of Danny Ings...

"Danny (Ings) really is in a good shape at the moment because he had a very good pre-season without injuries, which is the most important thing for him and that’s the reason he can work so much for the team at the moment.

"He has a very good work load, he is very good with sprints against the ball and also has a lot of ball wins in the first row which is massively important for our game and he knows that.

"When he has the ball he has the quality to score, he has a lot of chances at the moment and is able to score and that helps us absolutely. What I like from Danny is he’s always positive, always open minded and a very, very positive character fo this team and I hope he continues his run."

On tackling racism...

"I think it’s absolutely the right thing to show a very hard shoulder to racism because the only way to stop it is to be as hard as possible against clubs, countries or teams that show these habits or their supporters show these habits.

"This is absolutely a no-go in any stadium in the world and this is something you have to fight against; don’t deny it, don’t look away, look straight in the eyes and say ‘this is not okay’ and we must change it, because otherwise it’s a platform where you can show this and everybody is looking on these guys and its not okay. We must be very, very strict and very, very hard to keep this out of the stadium."

On Ross Wilson's departure...

"It was surprising for me and the others, but what I can say is that I had a very good relationship with him, I liked to work with him and he’s a fantastic character, fantastic personality and I enjoyed every minute with him and wish him all the best as he goes to a famous and big club and has a new challenge.

"This is football and what happens in football, and I think for us it will be important for us to bring someone new in. This is the main work for the board and Martin (Semmens); I have other things to look on and have work to do but sure, I’ll also have my opinion for this position."
