Kevin Danso captained Austria Under-21s to a resounding 3-0 victory over Turkey to maintain their perfect start to Euro 2021 qualifying.

The Turks were reduced to nine men after two red cards in the second half of the game in Ritzing, but Austria always looked in control, even against a full complement.

Striker Nicolas Meister struck an early opener for the hosts, before Saints defender Danso was involved in the second goal, scored by Marko Raguz in the first period.

Sandi Lovric put the result beyond doubt soon after the dismissal of Turkey’s Abdurrahim Dursun, while Orkun Kokcu also received his marching orders in the closing stages.

Danso’s Austria are sitting pretty at the top of Group 3 with three wins out of three and ten goals scored, but nearest challengers England have a game in hand.
