It’s another night of Internationals across the globe, with our eyes being drawn to Austria and their under-21s.
Kevin Danso and the Austrian Under 21s will be gearing up for their qualifier against Turkey (kick-off at 7.30pm BST).
So far, qualification for the Under 21s European Championships has been going according to plan as far as the Austrians are concerned, thanks in part to Danso himself.
Our loanee from Augsburg FC scored a penalty in Austria’s 3-1 away win over Andorra at the start of September; a goal at an important time as the hosts looked to mount a comeback following Albert Rosas Ubach’s goal in the 36th minute.
Austria’s away form continued four days later, trashing Albania 4-0 at the Niko Dovana Stadium where Danso enjoyed 80 minutes of action.
Turkey’s fortunes in qualifying have been less impressive so far; a 3-2 defeat at the hands of England’s Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson followed a 3-1 defeat to Kosovo and a 2-2 draw at home to Albania in June.
