Golf Day 2019

By SFC Media time Fri 27 Sep Saints Foundation

More than £10,000 was raised in support of both Saints Foundation and Southampton Hospital Charity at this year’s Southampton Charity Golf Day.

Hosted at Stoneham Golf Club for the second year running, 100 golfers took to the course all in aid of the two charities.

Despite some early rain, spirits were never dampened in the Texas Scramble format, seeing groups of four head out aiming to score the most points. And, with the skies brightening, scores started coming in with putts being made around the course.

Also, in attendance were Southampton FC legends, Francis Benali and Matt Le Tissier, both showing their support for both charities. Their golf game wasn’t too shabby either.

Back in the clubhouse there was plenty to celebrate with prizes were given out to our winning team.

All of the money raised from the event will go to helping both causes in their work to transform lives across the city.

Take a look at the gallery below for some of the best images from the day.

A huge thank you too to event partner, JR Carpets, and official beer partner, Kingfisher, for their support.
