Oriol Romeu is the feature interviewee for a south coast special when SAINTS returns for Southampton’s Friday night clash with AFC Bournemouth under the lights at St Mary’s in the Premier League.

The tough-tackling midfielder looks ahead to a unique few days in his Saints career ahead of back-to-back meetings with near neighbours Bournemouth and Portsmouth.

The 27-year-old also reveals why he was considering his future last season, and explains how Ralph Hasenhüttl has sparked the team back into life.

Elsewhere, the boss pens his manager’s notes, Cédric provides his thoughts from the dressing room and Kevin Danso is the latest summer signing to tackle our Q&A.

Tributes are paid to the club’s former chairman Leon Crouch by a trio of Saints legends: Matt Le Tissier, Lawrie McMenemy and Franny Benali.

There is the usual helping of Saints nostalgia in our bespoke history section, with plenty of quizzes and games to keep our junior readers entertained before the game and during the half-time break.

This season’s flip cover theme continues, with Jannik Vestergaard and Callum Wilson top and tailing the issue, while Sam Tighe from Bleacher Report provides detailed analysis of what to expect from our visitors.

Pick up your matchday programme from one of the numerous sellers outside St Mary’s and inside the stadium concourse, priced at £4.

SAINTS is also available to buy online, either as individual editions or as a seasonal subscription. Simply visit
