Jan Bednarek played the full 90 minutes as Poland fell to a 2-0 defeat to Slovenia in their latest UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier.

Aljaz Struna’s opener was added to after the interval by Andraz Sporar to ensure the hosts took all three points in Group G. Despite defeat, Poland remain top of the table on 12 points from five games.

Elsewhere, Stuart Armstrong was an unused substitute as Scotland lost out in their home meeting with Russia. On a frustrating night, John McGinn opened the scoring, before Artem Dzyuba levelled five minutes before the break.

And shortly before the hour mark Stephen O’Donnell’s own goal sealed victory for the visitors and left the Scots with an uphill battle to qualify from the group.

In Morocco, Sofiane Boufal was an unused substitute during their international friendly, as Zouhair Feddal's late equaliser cancelled out Cyrille Bayala's strike to earn a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso.
