Southampton Under-23s have been drawn alongside Bournemouth, Stoke and Nottingham Forest in Group E of the Premier League Cup.

Radhi Jaïdi’s side will face each opponent home and away, with the group stage running from October until February, before the top two teams advance to the last 16.

The final takes place in May, with Everton defeating Newcastle in last season’s showpiece by a solitary goal.

Details of when Saints’ group games will take place will be confirmed in due course.
