Ten-man Saints battle to United draw
Saints rounded off a positive final week before the international break with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at St Mary’s.
Jannik Vestergaard scored his first goal for the club to grab a second-half equaliser, while Saints played the final 20 minutes of the game a man down after Kevin Danso’s dismissal.
The result followed successive away wins at Brighton in the Premier League and Fulham in the Carabao Cup.

Radhi Jaïdi’s youngsters face League Two Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn in their Leasing.com Trophy opener tomorrow night.
It is the first of three group games for Saints, who will also travel to Walsall and Coventry in the competition.
The Under-23s will be looking to bounce back following three successive defeats in Premier League 2 Division One.
Under-18s hit late winner at Arsenal
Saints left it late to secure a deserved first victory of the season in the Under-18 Premier League, with a 1-0 triumph at Arsenal.
Substitute Callum Watts struck the winner in the 90th minute at the Shenley Training Centre.
It was just reward for Paul Hardyman’s side, who had the best of the chances on the day.
Women continue dominant start
Southampton FC Women were 5-0 winners over Brislington, continuing their flying start to the new season.
Kelly Fripp, Georgie Freeland, Ella Pusey (2) and Shannon Sievwright were on target at the Testwood Stadium.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side have racked up 16 goals in their first three matches in league and cup so far.
Saints heading to Fratton Park in Carabao Cup
The Carabao Cup draw became a major talking point for supporters when Saints were pulled out of the hat away at Portsmouth in the third round.
The first south coast derby since 2012 has been confirmed for Tuesday 24th September and will be televised live on Sky Sports.
Ticket details for the fixture will be announced in due course.
Saints set for international action
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Maya Yoshida, Kevin Danso, Stuart Armstrong, Jan Bednarek and Michael Obafemi have all been called up by their countries for this week’s internationals.
Euro 2020 qualifying resumes, with England set to return to St Mary’s after a 17-year absence when they face Kosovo next week.

Chelsea tickets now on sale
Tickets for the Premier League meeting with Chelsea at St Mary’s on Sunday 6th October are now on sale to Official Saint+ Members.
The next stage of sales will be to Official Saint Members on Thursday 5th September, before general sale from Monday 9th September.
Meanwhile, Saints’ first trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is now sold out for away supporters.
Trio depart on loan
Saints trio Guido Carrillo, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Tom O’Connor have all left the club on loan.
Carillo has returned to Leganés in Spain, where he made 33 appearances last term, while Elyounoussi has joined Fraser Forster at Celtic, both on season-long deals.
O’Connor has teamed up with fellow Saint Alfie Jones at Gillingham in League One until January.
New kit now on sale
Saints’ home, away, third and goalkeeper kits are now all on sale to supporters.
The new home strip was made available for the first time on Saturday, before the game with Manchester United, and can be purchased online, from the Stadium Store or from the Westquay Store.
