There is a host of Southampton vs Manchester United nostalgia at your fingertips when SAINTS returns this weekend.

The matchday programme features extended interviews with past and present stars, while our themed historical and opposition sections evoke more memories of contests from years gone by.

Yan Valery is the latest first-team player to be put under the microscope, as he recalls making his Premier League debut and scoring his first senior goal – in some style – against United in separate meetings last season.

Representing the past is Danny Wallace, the speedy winger who played for both clubs and made his Saints debut at Old Trafford as the club’s youngest-ever player nearly 40 years ago.

Now battling multiple sclerosis, Wallace’s story is a poignant one, and the 1990 FA Cup winner is set to be warmly received by both sets of supporters as Saturday’s matchday guest at St Mary’s.

Elsewhere, Ralph Hasenhüttl and Sofiane Boufal share their thoughts from inside the club, and there is more behind-the-scenes coverage from the Academy and Southampton FC Women.

Franny Benali gives his view on Saints’ back-to-back wins and previews the big game ahead of the international break, with Sam Tighe from Bleacher Report providing detailed analysis of what Hasenhüttl might expect from United on a tactical level.

Don’t forget, we’ve still got a host of quizzes and games to keep the kids occupied before the game and during the half-time break – just remember to bring a pen to fill in the answers!

Pick up your matchday programme from one of the numerous sellers outside St Mary’s and inside the stadium concourse, priced at £4.

SAINTS is now available to buy online, either as individual editions or as a seasonal subscription. Simply visit our new website:
