Southampton Football Club is once again proudly displaying the LGBT+ flag outside St Mary’s Stadium in the run-up to Southampton Pride this weekend.

The annual event, which takes place this Saturday, will see thousands of people join together in the city in a celebration of the Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender community, raising funds for local charities and also promoting LGBT+ rights.

The day is highlighted by a parade through the city, which is due to begin at 2pm, from the top end of Above Bar Street, before later concluding in Guildhall Square.

Anyone who would like to join is asked to meet at Watts Park, by Commercial Road, at 1.30pm.

Through supporting Southampton Pride and initiatives such as the annual Rainbow Laces campaign, the club offers continues to encourage LGBT+ participation in football, and sport in general.

We would like to wish everyone who attends this year’s event a fantastic day.
