Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl says new signing Kevin Danso has settled in well during his first week with the club.
The 20-year-old centre-back joined Saints at the end of the transfer window, signing on a season-long loan from FC Augsburg, and began training with his new teammates on Tuesday.
Hasenhüttl has not revealed whether Danso will be involved for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Liverpool, at St Mary's, but he has been happy with what he has seen from him so far.
"He's a young guy, he's been here one week now and trained three times with us," said the Southampton boss.
"We must pay attention that we don't overload him the first week. He is a good guy, he's been here only one week with us and we must pay attention that we help him with good information to get adapted to our game.
"I think he knows a lot about playing a lot also in a back five, which is important for us, and also he played a lot in a back four in his career, so he's a good package, an open-minded guy and I'm happy that he's here."
One other thing Hasenhüttl is happy about is returning to St Mary's, as Saints prepare for their first home game of the Premier League season.
"I think it's a very big game, the first home game of the season at St Mary's," he said. "It is maybe one of the biggest in the year.
"It is important that we show from the first moment that we want to be sharp and we want to hunt them, and we know that is not easy, but we are convinced we can make maybe a big surprise for everybody."
