Southampton will travel to face Fulham in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday 27th August.
The date for Saints' first match of this season's competition falls in between the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion and the home meeting with Manchester United and will kick-off at 7.45pm.
The last meeting between the two sides was in February at St Mary’s, where goals from Oriol Romeu and James Ward-Prowse earned a 2-0 success.
Their most recent meeting in cup competition came in January 2018, when a solitary Ward-Prowse strike helped Saints to progress to the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Fulham, who are under the stewardship of Scott Parker, are currently 11th in the Championship after two games and also have Harrison Reed on a season-long loan.
