Southampton Football Club can confirm that Charlie Austin has completed a permanent transfer to West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old striker moves to the Championship club after three-and-a-half seasons at St Mary’s, in which he made 81 appearances and scored 20 goals.

Austin now links up with a West Brom team under the stewardship of Slaven Bilić, and who will be looking to achieve promotion back to the top-flight after making the play-offs last term.

The club would like to thank Charlie for his efforts and we wish him well for the future.
