Southampton Football Club held a special Fans’ Forum for 40 dedicated fans this week, who all got the chance to pose questions to a four-person panel, including manager Ralph Hasenhüttl.
BBC Radio Solent’s sports editor Adam Blackmore led the evening at Staplewood Campus, with Chief Executive Martin Semmens, Chief Commercial Officer David Thomas and Director of Football Operations Ross Wilson making up the remainder of the panel.
The forum was part of the club’s commitment to hosting a number of different fan events throughout the season, with the aim of enhancing its communication with supporters.
This particular edition, however, gave special invite to those select few who had attended all 38 of Saints' Premier League fixtures, as well as each of the team's cup games, during the 2018/19 campaign.
Special guest Nelly Gao, daughter of Southampton FC majority shareholder Mr Gao, addressed the room before questions were taken from the floor on a variety of topics.
The hour-long forum included discussion around the club's ownership and board structure, pre-season progress, transfer activity and expectations for the upcoming season, among others.
