Southampton FC Women will kick off the new season in the FA Women’s National League Division One South West against Chesham United on 18 August 2019 following this morning’s full fixture release.
That away trip will be followed by a home meeting with Brislington – at AFC Totton’s Testwood Stadium which will host Saints once more for the new season – before a home derby against city rivals Southampton Women, currently scheduled for Wednesday 4 September at 7.45pm BST, the first of four midweek fixtures over the course of the season.
All Sunday games are scheduled for a 2pm kick off, and midweek games for 7.45pm in the 11-team FA Women’s National League Division One South West – the fourth tier in England - where Saints will also be joined by the likes of Cheltenham Town, Poole Town, Swindon Town and Exeter City.
Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side rounded off a remarkable campaign as league and cup winners last term, all without losing a game, and the new campaign marks the latest step in their ambitions towards the top level of the women’s game.
The club will enter the SSE Women’s FA Cup, in the second qualifying round on Sunday 22 September, with Tier 1 Women’s Super League clubs joining the competition from the Fourth Round onwards.
