Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl says the team's opening friendly of the summer, against SCR Altach, will be an ideal conclusion to the pre-season training camp in Austria.
Saints have been in the Montafon region for the past week, and will face their Austrian Bundesliga opponents on Sunday (2pm UK time), before flying home to continue their work at Staplewood Campus.
ralph hasenhüttlwe will try to show a little bit of what we were working on during the week.
Hasenhüttl has explained he could use the game as an opportunity to send out a different XI in each half, while it will also provide a chance to put into practice some of the elements they have been focusing on during their time on the training pitch.
"I think the first test is not really something that gives us a message for the future, but it's important after a week of hard work that we have a chance to play two halves, with maybe two different teams," he said.
"We will try to show a little bit of what we were working on during the week. This is the reason why friendly games are important for the team, for trying something new.
"It's a good finish at the end of a tough week, so I think it's a good test.
"They are in the highest league in Austria. They are a small club who always produce good performances and make the most out of the possibilities that they have.
"That means it's a good first test for us, and we must be very clear and really focused."
We will be bringing our UK audience live coverage of the game here on southamptonfc.com.
