The 2019/20 Premier League fixtures have been revealed, with Southampton beginning the season with a trip to Burnley.

Saints are due to visit Turf Moor on Saturday 10th August, as they face the Clarets on the opening day for the second campaign in succession.

That will be followed by the opening home game of the season for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side, against Liverpool, provisionally on August 17th.

The traditional Boxing Day fixture will see Saints make the trip to Stamford Bridge, to face Chelsea, while Tottenham are scheduled to visit St Mary’s on New Year’s Day.

The final day of the season will be a clash with newly-promoted Sheffield United at home, as Hasenhüttl’s side finish off 2019/20 at St Mary’s.

The new campaign will be the first to feature a mid-season player break, which will take place in February.

The Premier League will split one round of matches over two weekends, with five matches on the weekend commencing February 8th and five on the weekend commencing February 15th.

All five matches on each weekend will be broadcast live in the UK.

The split of the matches will be decided when the UK broadcast picks for the month of February 2020 are announced, which is due in approximately mid-December.
