Southampton will face Dutch giants Feyenoord in a pre-season friendly next month, the club can confirm.
Saints will visit De Kuip on Sunday 28th July, for a 2.30pm kick-off (1.30pm UK time), as Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side continue their preparations for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign.
The game will follow immediately after the pre-season training camp in Dublin, with the squad flying to the Netherlands once their week in Ireland has finished, before they then head back to Staplewood Campus.
It is the second time in four years that Saints will have visited Feyenoord in pre-season, having also faced the Rotterdam club in the summer of 2015.
Then, Saints won 3-0, with goals from Graziano Pellè, Maya Yoshida and Juanmi.
The current Feyenoord side is managed by Jaap Stam, who took over this summer following a third-place finish in the Eredivisie for the club last season.
The game adds to Southampton’s other friendly matches, with a fixture against SCR Altach at the end of the pre-season camp in Austria, on Sunday 14th July, and the home meeting with FC Köln, on Saturday 3rd August, while a Southampton XI will also visit Macau to play Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F on Tuesday 23rd July.
