Southampton Football Club has today announced a partnership agreement with Japanese club Shimizu S-Pulse.

The link will see Saints and the J1 League side share their respective knowledge, with representatives visiting one another to form a greater understanding of on and off-pitch operations.

These will include coach development, medical science, player development, stadium technology, merchandising and fan engagement.

Southampton’s majority shareholder Mr Gao, Commercial Director David Thomas and Academy Manager Matt Hale visited the club to mark the start of the partnership today.
