Shane Long has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming EURO 2020 qualifiers against Denmark and Gibraltar.
After netting four goals in five games in April and May – including a record-breaking strike against Watford - the 32-year-old is in line to make his 83rd appearance for Ireland after missing out on the previous round of fixtures due to injury.
Mick McCarthy’s men face Denmark in Copenhagen’s Parken stadium Friday 7th June (7.45pm), before hosting Gibraltar at the Aviva Stadium on Monday 10th June.
The Irish sit top of Group D having collected maximum points against both Georgia and Gibraltar.
