Charity Matchday

By SFC Media time Wed 24 Apr Saints Foundation

As Southampton clashed with Wolves in the Premier League earlier in April, Saints Foundation took centre stage as the football club shone the light on their official charity with a dedicated matchday.

Before kick-off, Saints Foundation staff and participants took over the outside the stadium with activities and health checks.

More than 100 participants were involved throughout the day as a pitch banner was displayed before the game, and at half-time, along with Saints Foundation participants waving flags as the teams came out onto the pitch.

As Saints went into the break with a 2-1 lead, Saints Foundation paraded 100 participants around the pitch as fans from both sides recognised the work and success of our projects with a long-standing applause. Head of Saints Foundation, Greg Baker, was also on hand to explain projects to our fans, raising more awareness as we continue to transform lives in and around Southampton.
