Jason Green

Wed 27 Feb Saints Foundation

For our Saints4Sport participants, who are going through some of life’s toughest challenges, changing entrenched ways can be one of the hardest challenges they will ever face – just ask Jason Green.

Involved with drugs and crime for most of his adult life, Jason received a three-year prison sentence for multiple thefts and supplying controlled drugs. Once out, it was time to take the different path. He found that with Saints4Sport.

He took part in gym sessions, played football and golf – slowly raising his enthusiasm, which saw him completing more sessions. This allowed him to resist the things that put him in prison in the first place.

Soon after, once clean and healthy, he enrolled a two-week placement with Premier Inn – a real chance to prove himself. To prove the change. He did not let the project or himself down as he was offered a job at the end of his placement.

Since joining the Premier Inn, he has gone from strength to strength – winning awards at work and within our project. An incredible turnaround that Jason puts down to Saints4Sport.

He explained: “I can’t thank Saints4Sport enough. The staff gave me a chance and believed in me. They’ve literally changed my life for the better.”

“I gained structure and routine, which helped me get into work. I was shown the tools and I have not looked back.

“I’d encourage anyone at whatever stage in their recovery to take full advantage of everything that Saints4Sport has to offer.”

Life for Jason has continued to improve after meeting his lowest point three years ago. He has now reunited with his family and has been in full-time employment for the past 15 months.
