Ralph Hasenhüttl is hoping to give a sold-out away end at Emirates Stadium another performance to be proud of on the road.

Saints head to Arsenal on Sunday looking to make it five Premier League away games without defeat, as they bid to secure what could be a precious result in the fight at the bottom end of the table.

Having earned an impressive 0-0 draw on their last trip to the capital, Hasenhüttl has eyes on giving the 3,000-plus Southampton fans joining them another reason to head home from London in high spirits.

"In 2019 we lost one game and in the away games we are unbeaten for a long time, and we want to show ourselves that we are still hard to beat in away games," said the Saints boss.

"That's a big challenge against another London team. We got a 0-0 in London against Chelsea, so we go there for having proud fans celebrating with us maybe one point or more.

"It's always important to have the fans in the stands for us. We will try to do everything to make them proud. That's our way that we want to go.

"We know exactly what it's about in the next weeks and I can guarantee that this team that is on the pitch will do everything to take something."
