It’s a top of the table clash for Southampton FC Women this weekend, as they face their toughest league meeting yet, hosting unbeaten Oxford City at AFC Totton.
Saints themselves are also defending a 100 per cent league record, and with both sides locked on 24 points, the result could go some way towards determining who finishes on top in the Southern Region Women's Football League.
The game, a 2pm kick-off at Testwood Stadium, is free for all club season ticket holders, and manager Marieanne Spacey-Cale is hoping for a bumper crowd to add to a big occasion on Sunday.
“I hope the fans will come out and watch because they'll see a real exhibition of women's football at this level,” she began.
“We're very much looking forward to the game. Everything we've been trying to achieve so far this season will be tested.
“This game won't define our season, but it's another chance to understand how far we’ve come and how far we can go. Oxford are also unbeaten.
“We're excited for it, and I hope we've prepared the squad to enjoy the game, without getting too caught up on the outcome.
“Both teams will be prepared and it'll make for a fascinating game, hopefully cheered on by plenty of fans and local people.
“There's other teams who are pushing us in this league, but that's what keeps it exciting!”
If you're not a Saints Season Ticket holder, entry is only £2, while concessions are also admitted free of charge.
Testwood Stadium can be found on Salisbury Road, Totton, SO40 2RW.
