Harrison Reed got a goal and an assist to help Blackburn Rovers to their fourth successive Championship victory, as they beat Hull City 3-0 at Ewood Park.

Adam Armstrong opened the scoring on 10 minutes, before Reed’s corner just eight minutes later was met by Jack Rodwell for his first goal in 504 days.

On 73 minutes, Reed got on the scoresheet himself when he dinked the ball over David Marshall following an initial save from Armstrong.

Jordy Clasie played the full 90 minutes as Feyenoord thrashed Ajax 6-2 in the Eredivisie, with two goals from Robin van Persie and further strikes from Jens Toornstra, Steven Berghuis, Tonny Vilhena and Yassine Ayoub.

It was the first time Feyenoord had scored three goals against Ajax before half-time since September 1979, while van Persie became the oldest player in Eredivisie with two goals in a Klassieker.

In Spain, Wesley Hoedt saw red on his debut for Celta Vigo as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Valladolid in La Liga.

Fellow Saints loanee Sofiane Boufal had teed up Pione Sisto to give the visitors the lead, before Oscar Plano levelled matters on 55 minutes.

Midfielder Keko then put Valladolid ahead, before Hoedt was shown a second yellow card with a few minutes remaining.

In Non-League, Kingsley Latham could not prevent Dorchester Town slipping to a 2-0 Evo-Stik Southern Premier South defeat in their derby with Poole Town, while Harrison Davis played 82 minutes as Tiverton Town battled back from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw with Merthyr.

Ben Rowthorn and Truro City fell to a 2-1 defeat against Chippenham Town in the Vanarama National League South. Rowthorn played 74 minutes of the contest before being replaced by Noah Keats.
