Southampton defender Cédric has completed a loan move to Internazionale until the end of the season, the club can confirm.
The full-back has joined the Italian side, who are currently third in Serie A and on course for Champions League qualification, with a view to a permanent switch in the summer.
The 27-year-old’s move further helps to achieve Ralph Hasenhüttl’s desire for a leaner squad, with the manager having also overseen the emergence of young right-back Yan Valery, as well as Kayne Ramsay, since his arrival at the club.
Cédric, who joined Saints from Portuguese club Sporting in 2015, has made 119 appearances for Southampton in his three-and-a-half years at St Mary’s, a time in which he also celebrated winning the 2016 European Championship with Portugal.
The club would like to wish Cédric good luck for the rest of the season with Inter.
