Ralph Hasenhüttl is determined to book a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the second attempt, and has told his Southampton players not to lose any focus in their replay with Derby tonight.
The sides go head-to-head at St Mary's following the 2-2 draw at Pride Park Stadium earlier in the month, with the winner going on to visit Accrington Stanley.
Saints will feel they should have already secured their place in the next round, having held a two-goal lead against Derby, before the Rams staged a second-half fightback.
ralph hasenhüttlwe will try to get a good start and show from the first minute that we want to go into the next round.
If they can get themselves in front again in the rematch, Hasenhüttl has urged his players to make sure they don't let the advantage slip.
"We learned that, although we dominated in the first 60 minutes, that is no guarantee to win a game, so we must stay focused for the 90 minutes and that's what we have to do on Wednesday," he said.
"We will try to get a good start and show from the first minute that we want to go into the next round."
With a huge effort in last weekend's 2-1 win at Leicester, in which Saints played more than half the game with ten men, and a big Premier League game at home to Everton coming up on Saturday, Hasenhüttl is likely to have to freshen his side up for the replay.
"It can be that we make a few changes," he said. "I think all the players who won on Saturday want to play again, because now they feel very good and have a lot of confidence," he said.
"But we have to protect them from themselves because I want on Saturday a team that is also fresh and able to win against Everton, who are a very strong team, so we have to find a good mixture and I think we will do that."
