Harrison Reed featured for Blackburn Rovers over FA Cup third round weekend as they forced Premier League side Newcastle United into a replay after a 1-1 draw at St James' Park.

Bradley Dack's headed opener was cancelled out by a Matt Ritchie penalty six minutes from time, rescuing the tie for Rafa Benítez, with Reed playing his part as a second-half substitute. Ewood Park will now host the reverse fixture in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere, Guido Carrillo's Leganés lost out 1-0 to Espanyol in La Liga's first action after their winter break. Borja Iglesias netted the winner in the ninth minute, with Saints' loanee striker playing the full 90.

Sofiane Boufal is set to feature for Celta Vigo this evening, as they host Athletic Bilbao at Balaídos.

Lastly, young goalkeeper Kingsley Latham was busy for Dorchester Town as they battled to a 1-1 draw against league leaders Taunton Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South.
