His first taste of St Mary's was a memorable one, and Ralph Hasenhüttl is hoping his next experience of Southampton's home stadium will provide another special memory.
Saints host West Ham under the lights on Thursday night, as they look to make it three Premier League wins in a row.
The first of those victories was Hasenhüttl's opening home match, as his side produced a thrilling 3-2 success over Arsenal, and the boss is keen to make sure his second game at St Mary's is equally as memorable.

"It was a pleasure for me to come into this stadium and for us to play in front of our supporters," he said.
"I hope we will give them another special moment in this season, against West Ham, and then against Man City.
"I think it's fantastic now that we are three points above the relegation zone. You never thought that could be happening two weeks ago, so we are very proud now, but we know this is only the start of a long journey until the summer, and there is still hard work to do."
Indeed, Hasenhüttl has made sure that, despite the team winning back-to-back league games for the first time since April 2017, there has been no resting on laurels.
"We have taken confidence, but we stay on with our way of not leaning back, and try to keep the intensity high. That is important," he said.
"We had a very good video session after Huddersfield and looked at a few things from the game. There were a lot of good moments in our game, but also a few where we can defend better. You always have to improve your game and your automatisms and I think that was important to look at."
